Hoang Lien Son



Hoang Lien Son mountain range is a mountain range in northwestern Vietnam. This mountain range is called Hoang Lien Son because there are many celandine trees on this range.




Thai people call this mountain Khau Pha meaning "horn of heaven". The Hoang Lien Son mountain range, 30 km wide, runs 180 km to the northwest-southeast, between Lao Cai and Lai Chau provinces, stretching to the west of Yen Bai province.


This is the end of the Ai Lao Son mountain range, the southeastern end of the Himalayan mountain range. The northwestern part of the mountain range has many high mountains above 2,800 m, including 3,143 m Fansipan peak, the highest in Indochina.


There are also Ta Giang Phinh tops 3,090 m high, Pu Luong high 2,938 m. Hoang Lien Son has a cold climate all year round and a lot of rain. In addition, the stone in the wire is the magic mark erupting, the ghost mark penetrates.


The soil is mainly high mountain humus due to the mountainous terrain. The forest in Hoang Lien Son consists of two main types: low mountain evergreen forest and alpine evergreen forest. In this area, there is Hoang Lien Son National Park.


Fansipan Peak is the highest peak in Vietnam, considered the roof of Indochina. Below the mountain top is Sa Pa town located 1,500 meters above sea level. Here on a four-day day, is the ideal holiday destination for tourists.
