Dragon Rock

About 20 km east of Phu My district (to the sea side) is Tan Phung village, My Tho commune. According to DT 639 road, about 5km from the Tay Binh bus station, it turns into a fishing village and way to the beach, the 50m last part of this road is made of concrete sloping down the coast, this road is about 2-3m wide on both sides the drained water from the houses beside, be careful not to slip. Arriving at the beach a few meters away from the water's edge, the houses were close, in the April or May every year there is a few meters wider and easier to walk. Looking to the left (north) is the position of the Dragon Rock about more 100m away...People said that in the dry season, small waves, wide sandy beach, it is possible to go to the Dragon Rock by the road along the beach.

This big wave season is can't go along the beach, only way to get on the road above along the houses. The path every time high up along the sea side along with the undulating rocks gradually appeared, finally reaching the Dragon Rock. Try on the right go through the rocks about a few meters, at first looks a bit like the head of a dragon jutting out to the sea with strange rocks on its back. If it is possible to continue, (this section is a bit dangerous) we will see a mountain cave through the back of the dragon along with rushing waves, no way to get down, just stand watching from one position very wide, it is a magnificent landscape but feels unsafe ...

According to legend, the ancient Dragon Rock was originally a block, resembling a carp, and the locals called it "Dragon Scales". A geographer named Cao Bien specialized in finding places with dragon's veins to cover and he went to this Dragon's Point. Cao Bien saw that Dragon Cape had a synergistic synergistic spirit, but it was allowed to cut off to eliminate the post-war. Dragon's veins was cut off, dragon scales fell, dragon blood collapsed to form small lip stones mixed in sand. This type of lipstick is very hard, when grinding with water, it gives a crimson color, holding it without sticking it, so it is called as the red ink of gods. Formerly, students everywhere often come here to get this kind of stone for teachers to mark the lesson.
