About 40 km west of Buon Ma Thuot town (Dak Lak province), there is a land long known for hunting and domesticating elephants. It is the Ban Don ecotourism site in Krong Na commune, Buon Don district, where the ethnic communities of Ede, M'nong, Gia rai, Laos and Thai are living.
and is becoming a famous brand of Dak Lak tourism and Central Highlands in general. Buon Don is a name in Lao, meaning Island village, because always along the Srebria river, there are many small islands floating between streams flowing day and night. On one side of the river is the peaceful village community life, one side is the forest of thousands of Yok Don full of mystery, interesting and as echoes of the magnanimous sound of the elephant hunting from ancient times. In the eyes of experts, Buon Don has many favorable conditions to exploit both types of tourism: ecotourism and cultural tourism. It is home to more than 100,000 acres of Yok Don National Park, a museum of natural flora and fauna.
