Sylver Waterfall


Silver Waterfall is a waterfall in San Sa Ho commune, Sa Pa district, Lao Cai province. The waterfall is located right next to Highway 4D, the arterial route to Lai Chau province and only about 12 km west of the center of Sa Pa town, so it is quite convenient to visit, and recently attracted many traveler. Silver Falls, with a height of over 200 meters, is upstream of the Muong Hoa stream with a height of 1,800 m, located at the foot of O Quy Ho Pass. Standing on the summit of Ham Rong mountain in the center of Sa Pa town, you can see the white silver waterfall in the clear sky and this is the origin of the name of the waterfall. From the high ravine, the stream roared down, white foam like flowers were so people called Silver Falls. Thac Bac area is one of the thickest snowy places in Sa Pa, in March 2011, the snow-covered area covered up to over 10 cm.


On the top of the waterfall, there is a small dam that prevents part of the water for living and has a trail leading up to the landscape and beautiful view. Thac Bac tourist area has two separate up and down roads, the road on the right, and on the middle of the waterfall, you will pass a bridge to the left. In the area near Thac Bac bridge on Highway 4A, there are some shops selling food and souvenirs. The situation of garbage dumping indiscriminately by tourists and shops has made the environment of Thac Bac calendar no longer clean. There is a salmon breeding center located at the foot of the slope leading to Silver Falls, where it aspires to become the research station for the largest coldwater aquatic products in the country. The salmon in the center is fed with water from the Silver Falls with more than 1,000 meters of water pipes.
