Dust and Wood

Why do you take note of the grain of dust in your brother's eye, but take no note of the bit of wood which is in your eye. (Luke 6:41)

Lyric

[Verse 1]

You see a speck like it's a crime - In your brother's weary eye
Yet your vision's blocked each time - By the beam you just deny

[Verse 2]

Pointing fingers at the small - While your own faults stand tall
Can't you hear the silent call - To humble hearts instead of brawl

[Chorus]

Dust and wood in every glance - Hypocrisy in every chance
Clear your sight and take a stance - Find your way in this expansive dance

[Verse 3]

We're all flawed in different ways - Still we judge in mirrored haze
Sweeping problems under praise - Avoiding our own cloudy maze

[Bridge]

Magic moments lost to pride - Hidden pains we try to hide
Truth and love we must decide - To see the world with open eyes

[Chorus]

Dust and wood in every glance - Hypocrisy in every chance
Clear your sight and take a stance - Find your way in this expansive dance
